אָנְקְלוֹס
אוֹנְקְלוֹס, אָנְקְלוֹסpr. n. m. (Ocellus?) Onklos, the alleged translator of the Pentateuch into Chaldaic, freq. surnamed הַגֵּר the proselyte; often identified with Aquila, the alleged author of a Greek translation of the Bible; v. עְקִילָס. Cmp. Meg.3a; Ab. Zar.11a, with Tanḥ. Mishp. 5. Cant. R. to I, 11 אלקולאון q. v.
